Natural Pain ManagementCrestone…Sacred Mountains – Peaceful Valley

Crestone is a beautiful little mountain town in the Sangre de Cristo Mountain range. Three stunning “fourteeners” grace the backdrop of the town. Crestone overlooks the San Luis Valley, known as “peaceful valley” because there has never been any known bloodshed in this area.

The area is primarily a retreat area and a place for people who love to adventure into the spectacular mountains. It has attracted dozens of different spiritual groups from around the globe, including groups from Bhutan, Japan and India. It is quite an international community for such a small town. The area has drawn Native Americans here for healing throughout the centuries.

Three mineral hot springs are available within a half hour drive from Crestone. The minerals absorb in through your skin and are very healing. They will leave you feeling great!

It is very silent in Crestone. The sky is majestic at night and the stars are bright at an altitude of approximately 8,000 feet above sea level. The air is very clean. Crestone is a town filled with some of the most talented artists, musicians, and healers that have gathered here from around the world.

The Native Americans have a long and historic relationship with the mountains and the valley here. They sought an ideal state of consciousness based on the quality of interaction with the natural world. The harmony and balance they had with Mother Earth and Father Sky inspired a spiritual awareness for each act in life. They saw this area as a place to awaken the spirit, heal the body, and have peaceful contemplation.

The sunsets over the San Luis Valley are magnificent. Often at sunset the mountains to the east of Crestone will appear red….thus, the name “Sange de Cristo”….or blood of Christ.

Crestone is just north of the Great Sand Dunes National Monument, which is nestled against the Sange de Cristo Mountain range.

Your retreat in Crestone will be a healing experience you will never forget….an experience you will cherish for ever….
